We were delighted to join with the ARC Training Centre for Biopharmaceutical Innovation and the UQ node of the ARC Centre of Excellence in Synthetic Biology for a joint symposium at UQ's Customs House, showcasing a selection of the fantastic research in the area of antibody and bio-engineering.
Keynote speakers Prof Ranjeny Thomas AM from the UQ Diamantina Institute and Prof John Hooper from the Mater Research Institute provided fascinating insights into their translational research journeys. CBI alumnus Dr Katelyn Richards spoke of her experience moving from academia to industry and her current research with Brisbane-based WearOptimo. CIBIT HDR student Gayathri S and Saikat Ghosh presented their research into using biologics as peptide delivery vehicles for immunotherapy and developing immuno-PET imaging tracers for detection of glioblastomas.
